Why do we need to detox?
Many of the toxins abundant in the environment today can enter our bodies through the air, water, or food. These toxins may include certain pesticides, herbicides, medications, and industrial chemicals. Environmental and dietary toxins, hormones, and byproducts of normal metabolism can accumulate in body tissues, fat cells, and organs. These compounds need to be properly processed and eliminated; if not, they can enter the bloodstream causing poor health and impaired function. While the body has an innate ability to process toxins, today’s polluted environment may overburden our natural detoxification processes, negatively impacting health, reducing vitality, and eventually may contribute to weight gain.
To ease potential toxic burden, consider adopting a structured program with targeted nutrients and herbs that support healthy detoxification.
What does a Healthy Fern Detox Program look like?
For this detox program, we will be using medical food supplements that include the specific nutrients needed to support and balance phase I and II metabolic pathways, high levels of antioxidants for safe detoxification and a comprehensive array of herbal hepatics and cholagogues to promote healthy liver function and elimination.
Included in your detox package is a reusable castor oil pack, castor oil, and a dry brush. During the program, I will be guiding you on how to use these traditional detoxification aids.
Additionally we will be removing food that do not support the body and replacing them with healthy, brain-boosting foods that will nourish our bodies and minds during the dark days of winter. You will be given a detailed summary of what foods to include and to eliminate, along with meal ideas and recipes.
This is a group detox and a private Facebook page will be created for participants to share thoughts, ask questions, and support each other. I will be available throughout the detox to answer any questions and provide modifications as needed.
